Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
helo i had hep c and im currently on triple therapy. Pegasus, ribaviran and 12 weeks incevik.. I have reg labs and tested neg after 4 weeks. I am now in my final month of treatment.. I used meth... I used within my last month. I was late taking meds will this affect my viral load or cause other side effects.
Al medications can cause side effects. I will advise that you always take your medications as prescribed so as to maximise effiacy and minimize side effects. Unless you have developed side effects already linked to the non respect of the dosing interval, I do not anticipate you would. If you were late taking medications just few times, there would be no major impact on the treatment outcome as opposed to regular and prolonged non respect for treatment intervals. I generally discourage clients from abusing drugs! Work with your doctor on getting off meth as this has serious side effects along users.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Thank you so much for using our services, we very much appreciate this.
