My husband takes Carvedilol 6.25 2 x day, Xanax .025, Lisinopril 2.5, Folic acid 1 mg. Liptor 10, Coumadin 10 gm. Protonix 40 mg. Which of these medicines can cause him to have no sex drive? It got like this after he got sick and was put on all these medications back in Jan. of this year.
hi, welcome to HCM. Out of the above drugs he is using, carvedilol, a beta blocker is known to cause sexual problems like altered libido, erectile impotence and delayed ejaculation in some patients. But you must weigh the risk benefit ratio before stopping the drug as it is generally used for cardiac disease. If it is troublesome to you, consult your doctor. It should not be stopped without your doctor's advice. Hope i am clear.
