Can Microgestin Tablets Cause Serious Birth Defects On Baby?

SIR 2YEARS BACK I HAD AN ABORTION AFTER 03 MONTHS POST CONCEPTION , I HAD CONSUMED UNKNOWINGLY ONE PERIOD EXTENSION TABLET ONCE DURING CONCEPTION PLAN. NOW AFTER 2 YEARS I AM PREGENT AGAIN. BUT MY DOCTOR PRESCRIBED MICROGEST 200MG ORAL CAPSULE DAILY CONSIDERING LAST ABORTION CASE. I HAVE LEARNT FROM SOME BOOKS THAT MICROGEST 200MG CAN CAUSE SERIOUS BIRTH DEFECTS ON BABY. PLEASE ADVICE WHAT TO D0 ?
