General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Microgynon does not commonly cause painful urination. The symptoms can be related to an urinary tract infection. I suggest to do a urine test to confirm the diagnosis and take proper treatment. Meanwhile, I suggest to use spasmolytics to treat the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
