Can Missed Periods For A Prolonged Period Indicate Menopause?

I am 42 years old & have not had a menstral cycle in over a year. I feel normal (no mood swings, hot flashes, etc.), but am on anti-depressants & have been since 1995. Is it possible to be going through menapause (spelled wrong, i'm sure) this early in life? Could this be something serious? Help!

Hi,

In some individuals, menopause can happen early before the age of 42.

Antidepressants can also cause delayed periods. Nothing much to worry and you can consult a gynecologist and get evaluated for further assessment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
