Can Mons Pubis Lead To Hernia?

36 Male. Left "mound" of mons pubis, or male equivilent depending who you ask, has a large bulge, about ping pong ball sized. The bulge is soft, but more firm relative to the normal fatty tissue on the opposite side. I am able to apply pressure on this bulge and it slips up inside my abdomen and out of reach. This causes severe gut discomfort similar to excessive gas in the intestine. When pressure is held this way, flexing of abdominal muscles can be felt on my fingers like a ring closing. I can hold my abdominal muscles in flexed position and the bulge stays gone. When I relax, it pops back out. I am very concerned that I might be describing a hernia.
