I have a number of diseases including Lupus, Sjogrens and Scoliosis. I have had two back surgeries and two knee surgeries Etc. I am on Percocet butit is not helping for some reason today and I was issue this Morphine 30 mg when I had my knee done. My question is this morphine is timed released and I need something to work now. Can I take two of these? The pain is awful. Thanks

Generally time-release morphine is used to keep a stable level of pain control throughout the day and a short-term drug like Percocet is used to control breakthrough pain. If you have been taking Percocet and now it is not working, you need to talk to your doctor about increasing the dose or frequency of taking it, or get specific instructions on how to use the Percocet and morphine together. They can be used together but it is a specific dosing schedule that your doctor needs to instruct you about. Hope this answers your query.
