Can Muscle Catch In Groin Area Be A Sign Of Stroke?
Hi, my mom is unable to walk and says shes got a catch or muscle pull somewhere in the groin area and it moves to the inner thigh. I am unable to figure out whether its really a pull or is it a stroke shes got and it has affected her movement. It hurts her while trying to walk.
As history don't guide anywhere towards stroke symptoms. It might be ligament sprain. I will advise doing hot water fomentation, and slow passive Range of Motion exercise for the hip and knee. Post which static hamstring and static Quadriceps with ankle toe movements. Also, hip strengthening exercises in a prone position will be helpful. Teach gait training to her with the help of support initially. Later independent walking once confidence is gained. You can take the help of the Physiotherapist close by if needed.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
