Can Nausea, Cold Hands And Insomnia Be Signs Of Thyroid Problem?
Hi, I am hypothyroid and am trying to figure out if what I am experiencing is related to thyroid problems or not. It seems that no matter what I eat, I get diarrhea. I feel nauseous after eating and have cold hands/feet almost throughout all the day. I recently got thyroid labs done, my TSH and T4 were in the normal range but my T3 was low. Do you think this is a thyroid problem or a GI problem? This has been getting more severe the last 3 months, but I have been on levothyroxine for about 7 years. I also have struggled with insomnia for much of my life, which got better when I started eating gluten-free, but now the same problems are back.
hello! hope you are doing great! this seems to be a case of irritable bowel syndrome. as far as your thyroid levels are concerned, I don't think there is anything wrong with your thyroid. if sticking to a gluten free diet helps with your diarrea then you need to follow that regimen n avoid stress and follow a regular sleep routine n avoid common triggers for the gi irritation like caffeine, dark chocolate, cigarette smoke. hope this helps! thanks for your question! kind regards!
