Can Neck Muscles Affect Lymph Nodes? Is Swollen Lymph Node With Fluid In Ear Canal A Result From All The Cannabis I Smoke?

Hi, I m seventeen and I often smoke cannabis . I also am getting a left 20 degree curvature of my spine and straight neck fixed via chiropractic visits and exercises. I ve been having very sore muscles in the front of my neck for quite awhile, and I often confuse that discomfort with that of a swollen lymph node on the left upper side of my neck. Can neck muscles affect lymph nodes, and is my swollen lymph node with fluid in my ear canal a result from all the cannabis I smoke? Because sometimes my throat hurts really bad when I smoke; especially out of a pipe.

Hi,

Thank you for your query.

As you rightly mentioned smoking hurts your throat. The throat get affected and in turn the eustachian tube connecting the middle ear to the throat gets blocked. This blockage causes middle ear infection and you can have the enlarged lymph node in the neck due to it. I suggest that you get your throat, ear and lymph noded examined by a doctor who shall advise you the correct course of management.

As you are aware of the problems by taking cannabis why not stop it. You are capable of doing it and I know will do it for your own benefit.

I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.

Wishing you all the best.
