Can Neuropathy From An Injury Cause Rigidity In The Right Arm?

Can neuropathy from a physical injury cause rigidity in right arm, slow movement, dropped foot slightly when walking, leg jerking while sleeping at night, and hand tremors -- all on the right side. The tremors are only when performing a task, and not at rest.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Your symptoms suggestive of neuropathy or some form of brain pathology. Your detailed neurological evaluation has to be done.

For that, you need to consult Neurologist who will examine your nerves and will check reflexes.

After examination, if needed your doctor will suggest you investigate with MRI brain scan, vitamin B12 estimation, random blood sugar estimation etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Parth Goswami,
