Can One Be Pregnant Immediately Post Menstruation?
Sir/ Madam, I had sex with my partner on 2/5/11 and after that I got menses (8/5/11)also. But from last week I am getting the symptoms of pregnancy. swollen my breast, tiredness, vomiting tendency like that. Me and my husband is too bothered because right now we are not planning for a child. Here my question is there any chance of pregnancy after having my period. Please help me regarding my queries. Thanking You, Beena
If you have got your menses after the unprotected sexual intercourse, the pregnancy is ruled out. However, very rarely, some bleeding is noticed at the time of expected menses during first few months of pregnancy. It is known as placental sign.
Since you are having symptoms like engorged tender breasts, nausea, etc. (even though you are not on birth control pills), performing a pregnancy test on the overnight first morning urine sample after one week would give you the evidence; earlier this test may give false negative results. Alternatively, you may opt for Beta hCG test on your blood.
If you are not pregnant, you may curtail salt in your diet which will give you some relief from the breast discomfort. Please get your blood pressure examined for fatigue and nausea.
I hope this should help you.
