Can One Replace Primolut With Primrose Oil While Lacking Progesterone?

hi! I am 46 yrs old and missing my periods. my ob advised me to take primulut n every month after 10 days of delayed period to get my period back. so far i ve been taking it for the last 4 months just to get my period. am i doing this right? do i continue? i ve read somewhere abt evening primrose oil. can i take this instead? or this will just make my estrogen dominant since my ob said i lack progesterone that s y missing my period?
