Can One Take Eptoin In The Morning And In The Night Instead Of Gardinal??

hi all my brother has been taking eptoin 2 tablets in the morning and 1 eptoin and 1 gardinal in the night.currently he has been on a tour and and has not taken sufficient gardinal tablets so two days he wont be able to take the tablet .is it ok?or can he take 2 eptoin in the morning and 2 in the night insted of gardinal??

Hello
Your brother is taking these drugs for epilepsy .
Eptoin is phenytoin , currently he taking 2 in the morning while one in the evening with phenobarbital ( gardenal ).
Due to shortage he want to take only eptoin in the night ( 2 instead one because of gardenal ) .
If gardenal is not available your brother can take eptoin 2 in the morning and 2 in the evening without any complication and these tablet will serve purpose very nicely.
