Can Oxalate Stone In Kidney Cause Acidity And Bloating?
Hi I am badly suffering from acidity which gives me burning sensation in check & throat plus my stomach bloats after eating & i get a lot of gas whenever & whatever i eat. I also have calcium oxalate stones in both my kidneys, does this happen because of that? Pls help.
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. Oxalate stones in the kidneys is not related to acidity or any intestinal problems. Since you are suffering from acidity, bloating and gas after eating, the probable causes can be as follows: Stress and anxiety causing aerophagia. Hyperacidity. Intestinal bacterial flora disturbance with overgrowth of gas producing bacteria. I would advise you the following in such a situation: Get the stool checked for three consecutive days. Tests of blood for CBC, thyroid, liver functions. Ultrasonography must have been done. Up[per GI Endoscopy. A course of an antibiotic and metronidazole. Probiotics. Control of stress and anxiety. Soft bland diet. Treatment of the kidney stones under the guidance of Urologist.
