Can Pain And Tenderness In The Neck Be Symptoms Of Acid Reflux?

I have been experiencing pain in my neck....not a sore throat in the typical sense, but painful and sore when I press at the base of the front of my neck. Occasionally this is accompanied by pain when I swallow, but this is sporadic, whereas the tenderness I feel when I press on my neck doesn t go away. I also have been experiencing what I think is acid reflux or indigestion after I eat...I have NEVER had issues with this until recently. Don t know if the two symptoms could be connected?

Hello,

Pain in the neck and difficulty in swallowing may be due to acid reflux or thyroiditis or esophagitis or tracheitis or ulcers in the mouth or viral laryngitis etc.

Avoid cool drinks and freeze water avoid smoking and caffeine drinks.

Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days.

Use tablet pantoprazole.

If symptoms not improved please consult your physician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
