Can Pain In The Stomach Before Peeing A Bladder Problem Or Muscle Pulled?

This morning I held my pee in for a long time, and ever since then my stomach has been hurting all day. It only hurts if it get squashed though. Is there anything wrong with my bladder? Or, is it just that I have provably pulled a muscle from the swimming i did the night before? Thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

As per my surgical experience, the stomach pain after holding pee for long time narrates underlying bladder muscle overstretching. A primary management with plenty of liquids, using toilet as and when required immediately and analgesic medications will help great.

Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel
