Hi, I had a second root canal on the same tooth. I was on antibiotics and pain killers for almost a week. The second root canal was last Friday. Since then (and I m off antibiotics and pain killers) I ve had a constant headache and stomach ache. Could this be a result of the meds? Thank you!
As per your history is concerned you are taking painkillers so there will be stomach pain so if painkiller is required then take with any PPI. Secondly you have indited for headache and it is due to dental causes only which will peregrinate away on its own.
You can do few things at home which may avail you:-
1)Integrate 1 teaspoon of salt to a glass of water and utilize it to rinse your mouth. Do this twice daily until the swelling subsides. 2)Grind a few cloves to get ½ teaspoon of the powder.Mix a few drops of olive oil in the ground cloves.Apply it around your sore gums.Wait 5 minutes, then rinse it off with water.Repeat twice daily until you can wear your dentures without discomfort.
Hope that helps
