Can Paints And Cleaning Agents Cause Increase In BP?

I have high blood pressure. I recently painted the interior of my home, and along with the paint, I used various cleaning supplies such as Brasso and Winemans cleaner. In about 3 days my blood pressure has risen too high. I also had this happen last year about the same time. I was also painting a room inside my house at that time. Is there any connection that you are aware of with respect to fumes causing a rise in blood pressure. Thanks

Hi, there is no direct connection in between paints, fumes to rise in blood pressure but one possibility is that u might be having some sort of allergic to this leading to activation of human body response, releasing adrenaline in vivo and it may cause temporary rise in BP but it will subsides as u will recover from allergy. This is the only possibility. Don't worry get your allergic testing done.
