Panic occurs due to imbalance of neurotransmitters and most of individuals with panic present with symptoms like severe restlessness, acute onset anxiety, sense of impending doom, palpitations, racing heart, breathlessness, chocking sensation in throat, sweating, trembling of body etc. The symptoms like shakiness in lying down, weird feelings etc could occur due to panic and need proper evaluation. Medicines like low doses benzodiazepines like Lorazepam, Clonazepam etc can be used for relief of symptoms. These medicines help to reduce symptoms and can be used on SOS basis.
