Brief Answer:
You can have a normal life after partial removal of ascending colon.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thank you for using HCM.
Yes , you can have a normal life after partial removal of ascending colon. The ascending colon, together with transverse colon, descending colon and rectum absorbs water, some nutrients, and electrolytes from partially digested food. In the colon that food waste is changed from liquid to solid form and transported to the rectum. The entire colon is about 150 cm, meanwhile the ascending colon is about 20 cm, and you will remove only a part of ascending colon. This will not reflect to any changes in your digestive system function. You will not experience any diarrhea. You should not have a restricted diet.

Hope this is helpful.
