hi doctor ,i am having my cervical polyp removed on the 23rd of this month and i don t know if i ll be having my menstrual period at the time....pls can u tell me if the polyp can be removed when am menstruating...thanks
It is better to avoid the removal of polyp during mensuration, During menses there will be increased blood flow to the uterus, cervix, vagina and reproductive organs... hence there will be increased bleeding during surgery.... to avoid excessive blood loss generally surgery is avoided during menses..
