Can Post Colon Surgery Cause Any Changes In Testosterone?

Hi, my fiancé is 28 and not sexually driven at all. After we had been together for about two years, he had his colon taken out due to severe colitis. He had a pouch made so he has no bag or anything. Our sex life was put on hold for a while to allow time for him to heal. Now it has been a few years and things just never got back to the same. Could his operation have caused any changes in his testosterone? We are going to seek counseling but I just wasn t sure if this could be medical at all? Thanks

Hello
No, I don't think it can be due to colon surgery but probably, he has unfounded fears of harm being done by sex developed after surgery. If you fear sex, you can't have libido so counselling may really help.
