Can Prednisone And Baby Aspirin Causes Red Dots On The Arms?
i have blood dots, some larger than others, move around my arm, fade, and reappear. My doctor believes that predinsone has caused them. I have been off prednisone for several months. The blood marks have continued only on my arms. The arms are the only place they ever occurred. Will they ever go away? I ve stopped taking baby aspirin--Doctor thinks that the aspirin could also thin the blood. Any suggestions and/or recommendations? They are not raised, not itchy, fade, and reappear.
The red dots on your skin are due to microangiopathy, most probably caused by prednisone and baby aspirin. It might require a few weeks to months after stopping both of them until fully disappear. Check your liver function too. Discuss it further with your caring doctor.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
