Can Rectal Pain During Bowel Movements, Hemorrhoids And Constipation Be Treated?

Hi there, I have been suffering from severe rectal pain during bowel movements for the past few weeks. For a week now I have been doing at home remedies for hemorrhoids with stool softeners and preparationH. It has not helped at all. In fact, the pain has been much more severe within the past couple days to the point where I m trying to avoid all bowel movements all together. I plan on making an appointment with a family doctor for Monday or Tuesday, but I d like to know if this is something that I should go to the Emergency Room for?

Hello,

But you need to increase fibre content in your diet and drink plenty of water. If stool softeners are not solving the problem you might need an enema to clear the impacted stools.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
