Can Recurred GERD Cause Pain In Breast Bone And Back With Bloating?
I am a 60 year old female with pain in my breast bone area and middle of upper back. I have belching and bloating. I saw a Cardiologist who ruled out heart problems. I am starting to take Carafate, Gaviscon and Zantac because i have had GERD in the past. Is this my same problem?
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history About GERD and pain in the breast bone and back, belching, bloating, traking Carafate, Gaviscon and Zantac. Yes, the repeat GERD can cause the similar symptoms. I would advise you the following since you have had similar problems in the past: Upper GI Endoscopy. Tests of blood, urine and stool. H. pylori test. Continue the same medicines with proper dosages and duration. Soft bland diet. Small frequent feeds. Good sleep. No anxiety and/or stress.
