Can Renal Biopsy Identify The Cause Of Excessive Protein Leakage Through Urine?
Hello Doctor. I am 38 yrs old female. My Weight is 62 kgs and height 5.3 ft. I am an Indian. I am suffering from excessive protein leakage from urine. I was tested with Urine Albumin ++++ in April 11. Then had done 24hr urine test which came to 750 mg/24hrs urine. I continued to take antibiotics as given by doctor Cifran OD 500 mg for about a month and also Cardace 2.5 mg for a month. My BP was very high initially but came to normal around 130/80 after 2 months. My cholesterol and triglycerides had also shooted up initially to 218 mg/dl and 483 mg/dl resp. But now under control and normal. But my urine test still showed Albumin 4+. Then I got my urine 24hrs done again just a week back and it showed 3250 mg/ 24 hrs, which is very high. My doctor has advised renal biopsy. What should i do?
The renal biopsy is mandatory for evaluation of many clinical conditions as glomerulopathy or others. You must take the renal biopsy for further management guidelines.
