Can Sea Water Be A Cause For Vomiting?

Hi, we are on vacation with my sons first trip to the beach. It was about a 10 hour drive that we split up and today was the first day at the beach. My question is at dinner tonight my 2 1/2 yr. old son projectile vomited, and about 3 hours later had a horribly watery diaper. There is no fever, and he is acting normally. We were at the beach for about an 1 1/2 with the proper sun protection/shade. Can accidentally ingesting saltwater be causing this?

Hello dear, welcome to healthcare magic forum.
The history indicate some sort of food poisoning.
Right now,if no fever or blood in stool, you can manage this with prompt replacement of fluid loss with oral solutions Luke ORS.it will cone down in 3 to 5 days.otherwise, if he has fever, blood in stool, severe vomiting preventing oral intake etc, this needs medical attention.he may need antibiotics and intravenous fluid replacement.
Hope thus answer will be helpful. Thank you.
