Can Secondary Cancer Of Breast Causes Pain In The Back?

Hi, I've just had a lumbar X-ray this morning which i was referred due to pain in back of my hip. I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2001 and was successfully treated after chemotherapy, a double mastectomy, and radiotherapy followed by 5 years of taking tamoxifen and a further 4 years of letrasol.
I am concerned this may be secondary cancer, although this has not been mentioned to me, I have been told I should get my X-ray results in approx 2 weeks, is this the normal timescale? Regards Joan

Hello dear. Usually breast cancer does not come back after such a long period, but of course it can recur back. However, the causes of back pain are many and you should wait for the final report. Xray can be reported on same day.
Thanks
regards
