Can Seizures Cause No Ability To Maintain The Normal Body Temperature?

my daughter's body temperature was at 96 and went down to 92 at the hospital. The hospital did not find any infection. Her background was she had brain damage from meningitis when she was 2 weeks old. She had seizures but only once in a while. Can seizure cause the body not being able to keep body temperature even after they warmed it to 98?

She had this once before 4 years ago. The doctor there said she was dehydrated. Can dehydration cause inability to keep body temp?

Hypothermia of that magnitude is really only seen to my knowledge in cases of sepsis or exposure to cold assuming all other bodily processes are normal. If damage from the meningitis somehow affected her thermoregulatory centers located in the hypothalamic area then, perhaps that's an explanation of sorts but not terribly satisfying to me. Barbiturates can cause lowering of core temperature which could be used in controlling epileptic fits. Anesthesia will also lower core temperature. Children do tend to fluctuate body temperatures by wider degrees of variation than adults do as well, however, 92 would be quite a bit in my estimation.
