Can Someone With Cough And Mucus Donate Blood?
I have had a chesty cough that produces mucus for almost 3 weeks now. It started with a fever, and only lasted one day. The cough has not gone away. I have coughing fits during the night which wake me up and i havent been sleeping well. People tell me that i may have bronchitis. My question is though, can i donate blood in this condition? I feel fine, i only have the cough.

Your symptoms seem to be related to bronchitis.
Acute bronchitis temporarily prevents blood donation. Once you are free of symptoms and two weeks have passed since the end of possible antibiotic treatment, you can donate blood.
