Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
HI, I have been having extreme nausea for over two years, been hospitalized 4 times. The first which was probably a misleaded diagnosis was at a wellness center due to a divorce I was going through when the ex was killing our pets. Symptoms are severe nausea lasting at least four days, regurgitating about every 15 to 30 minutes (drinking water in-between to keep something in the stomach because no food will stay down, no sleeping can occur during this period. Dizziness almost to complete disorientation, have lost track of days i.e. recently I though it was Tuesday and it was actually sunday. Have seen a gastrointestinal specialist as well as family doctor and hospital doctors but can not seem to get my points across. Any suggestions?
Dear- stress can cause nausea and severe stomach symptoms due to the over production of gas and acid in the stomach . It causes dizziness too, specially when we start hyperventilating and acumulating carbon dioxide which can cause dizziness. You need to relax, try yoga or any other therapy that will help you to breath better and get control of your stress. I hope my advise will be helpful Dr.Sara
