Can Stress Reduce Sexual Drive And Potential To Get Aroused?

hello doc,
my husband is 33yrs of age & works in a high pressure job on a good post. he is 5 ft 8" in height and weighs about 98 kgs. i have observed a sharp decline in his sexual drive as well as potential to get aroused since the past 6 mnts or so. As mentioned earlier, he has a lot on mind always & seems preoccupied. He also senses the problem, but has not been able to help it much.. your help will be welcome..

HI,
THANKS FOR USING HEALTHCARE MAGIC.
NORMAL SEX IS A COMBINATION OF PSYCHO-NEURO-HORMONAL-VASCULAR FUNCTION. FOR NORMAL SEXUAL PERFORMANCE THERE SHOULD BE NORMAL INTACT NERVES (NEURO), PROPER SECRETION OF SEXAUL HORMONES (HORMONAL), INTACT PENILE BLOOD VESSELS (VASCULAR). ABOVE ALL YOU SHOULD BE PSYCHOLOGICALLY WELL FOR COMBINE FUNCTION OF THESE SYSTEMS. SO THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT STRESS AFFECTS SEXUAL FUNCTION.
IN ADDITION, THE BMI OF YOUR HUSBAND IS IN OBESE RANGE AND OBESITY ITSELF IS A RISK FACTOR FOR SEXUAL DYSFUNCTION.
MY ADVISE TO HIM IS TO KEEP RELAXED, DO SOME RELAXATION EXERCISES, GO FOR DAILY WALKING AND OTHER PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES, ADAPT HEALTHY LIFE STYLE MEASURES.
IF NEEDED GET THE HELP OF A PSYCHIATRIST.
ALL THE BEST.
THANK YOU.
