Can Suprax Cause Itchy And Fluid Discharge From Scalp?

I took an antibiotic called suprax 200mg for kidney infection. I took 1 daily for 9 days. on the the 3rd day , I noticed that my scalp was very itchy and started leaking very sticky, smelly and a bit yellowish fluid from different parts of my scalp. the fluid would soak my pillow at night. the fluid will be dripping down from my hair line during the day. my scalp feels very hot and itchy. it does not allow me to sleep at night therefore during the day i would usually have headache during the day. during the day i don t go out especially under the sun due to the pain have stopped the antibiotic since 2wks now but the problem still continues. PLS HELP I am going insane.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be scalp fungal infection. It should be ruled out by testing scrapping from scalp. In case of fungal infection ketoconazole lotion and fluconazole tablets orally will be helpful. Antihistamines orally will help in relieving itching also. A consultation with a dermatologist is well appreciated.
