Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You should have a healthy lifestyle like avoiding fatty, oily and high calorie diet. Have low salt diet and monitor blood pressure regularly thrice a day for one week then once or twice a week. If BP is persistently more than 140/90 mmhg, then you should be on hydrochlorothiazide as prescribed. Regular exercises like brisk walking, jogging according your capacity at least 30 min a day and 5 days a week.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
