Can Taking High Dosage Of Synthroid Be Safe To Treat Thyroid?

Hi i am on thyroid supplement 100 mcg and i am going through a sad time due to a loss and i was told by an endocrinologist once that i am more prone to be effected by stressful times and its ok to increase my synthroid a little as needed....i am thinking if i take an extra 50 mcg per week for a few weeks this may helpn to keep me from feeling too tied and sleeping a lot which is not my normal behavior. i usually have full energy and am highly functioning and happy....wondering if you had any experience with the concept of thyroid t3 t4 being diminished more so under during grief?
