Can Taking Penicillin Be Safe For Ear Infection?

Hello, My daughter is 7 months old and has been sleeping through the night for a few months now. She was recently on penicillin for an ear infection (and bad cold). The last few nights she has been waking up every few hours, crying. Her temperature tonight has been 95.3F (I ve checked it twice) Does this mean anything? Kristen
