Can The Medicine, Invokana, Cause Fatigue, Dullness And Anxiety As Side Effects?

Hi, I just started Invokana 4 days ago, and I feel a little bit off. Plenty of water, no real side effects other than just feeling like I m a step behind myself, if that makes sense. Also, I ve had a little anxiety, which I think is related to the possible side effects. Is this normal? Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it can be normal after starting it.

However gradually symptoms should improve but if current state persists or worsens a repeat review or psychiatrist opinion may be needed to optimize your regimen for chronic anxiety.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
