Can The Positive ANA Be A Result Of RA Or Sjogren S Syndrome?
My wife (51 years old) just received her results from an extensive array of blood tests. She was being tested because of persistent joint and some muscle pain, and an increase in weight. All of the results were within range except she had a POSITIVE ANA test. The primary is referring her to a rheumatologist. Some concern she may have lupus. Though a few months ago at an eye doctor s appointment, she was told she had extremely dry eyes, and was given treatment for that. Could the positive ANA be a result of RA or Sjogren s Syndrome?
