Can The Prescribed Beta Blocker Cause Low Blood Pressure?

My 22 year old daughter just got out of the hospital. She is diabetic and malnourished. Her pulse has been running 128-150. They prescribed a beta blocker. her current bp is 94/54 and her pulse is 128. Can I give her the prescribed beta blocker or will that make her blood pressure go to low?
