Can The Tissue In Anal Region Be Stretched To Avoid Pain And Soreness?

I had a rectocele repair very low in the rectum about 10 months. I am still having pain and soreness after the bowel moves., I am assuming this is caused by scar tissue tightness. Is there anything I can do or use to soften or stretch tissue in this area. It is just to the right of the anal opening. Thanks, Janice

I would advise that you do not attempt to stretch the tissue there on your own. I suggest that you see a physician (such as the surgeon who did the procedure) who can perform a physical exam in order to more definitively determine the cause of your symptoms before anything is done.
