Can Too Much Exercise Elevate CA 125?
My better half was given a CA 125 test and the count was above 900. She had a CT scan performed and nothing showed up. She looks and feels very healthy and is exercising on a daily basis. Two to three times a week she exercises quite strenous. Can too much exercise elevate the CA 125? FYI...she went through chemo due to ovarian cancer.

Welcome to HCM. Please calm down. Many noncancerous conditions can elevate CA 125 and have you asked your doctor who drew the bloodwork about this? Menstruation and fibroids are two such conditions. Don't jump to conclusions but ask the doctor treating your wife who knows her history about this matter.
Physicians often use this marker to track the ovarian cancer. A number that is decreasing indicates success of therapy and a rising number may indicate a return of the tumor or need for therapy adjustment. So, if you have been tracking her levels yourself you will see the same info the doctor looks at.
Now, to answer your question, I do not see any indication for the involvement of exercise having this kind of impact on a C 125 value. Please consult the treating physician about the meaning of this value and recommendations for future therapy based on the C-125 your are concerned about as well as any other information about your wife's condition. One must understand that rising number may indicate a return of the tumor or need for therapy adjustment.
CA-125 concentrations can be elevated for reasons other than ovarian cancer which includes normal menstruation, pregnancy, endometriosis, bowel disorders and pelvic inflammatory disease.
Other possibility is If CA-125 levels rise or remain the same, then treatment may not be having the desired result.
Increasing CA-125 levels after treatment may indicate that the cancer has returned
But you should not panic . Discuss of other possibilities with your doctor .
For your info , In my view , there is no connection of exercise with your elevated level from far and near ,as exercise , pranayam ,yoga help detox your system and increase immunity against diseases . So this possibility is ruled out .
