Can Typhoid Have Effect On Pregnancy?

Hi,



I was diagnosed with typhoid this Decemeber which was a relapse of typhoid which I got in October.There are friends who tell me that I should not get pregnant for the next 3 months..Is it true that I might not be fit enough to become pregnant for the next 3 months?Can somebody help me in clarifying this..

Dear member,
Thanks for writing.
The typhoid is a bacterial infection.
It does not have significant effect on the fetus.
The relapse might make you weak and tired but there is no need to terminate a ongoing pregnancy for typhoid .there are safe Medications available for typhoid in pregnancy.
