Can Using Magnesium Oxide With Aspartate Open The Spinal Stenosis Thus Relieving The Pain?

I am a male, age 75, and have an MRI diagnosis of spinal stenosis on both sides in the lower back that causes pain (sometimes down the left leg to the foot). Yesterday, in a conversation with a licensed Physical Therapist, she suggested that using magnesium oxide with aspartate can open the stenosis over time thus relieving the pain. Is this correct?

Hi,

Magnesium oxide does not help you for pain, moreover, it can worsen the conditions.

Consult a neurologist and plan for an MRI scan.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
