Can Uterus Lining Thickening To 23 Mm Along With Small Bleeding Between Periods Indicate Cancer?
I have been having small bleeding between periods and very heavy periods, I was sent for an ultrasound scan which showed a thickening of the uterus lining at 23mm, I'm waiting for gyn review and plan, could this be cancer? My last smear 18 months ago was normal , thanks.
Hi there thanks for posting your query at Hcm There are a number of reasons for the increased thickness of the endometrium The reason could atypical hyperplasia , complex hyperplasia , We will have to go for the cytology examination Further we will also do ultrasound examination. Then only we will rule out any a patholgy Keep a positive outlook
