I have varicose veins but I don't know if that is the extent of my problems. My trouble is in getting up from a chair or climbing stairs as I must use my arms to do so. My knees are week and sometimes collapse on me when going down stairs. X-rays show my knees to be normal, my hips to be normal. I am a 55 year old male, somewhat overweight but I don't believe that is the entire cause of my problem
Varicose veins do not cause hip or knee joint problem. It is entirely a separate pathology. How ever during exercise, standing these can cause nagging pain due to weightof blood.
