Hi! Aman,
Vitamins deficiency does not cause weight gain. Your weight gain could possibly be due to slowing down of metabolic rate. Since you are not very active your body is unable to burn energy from the food that you are eating. More than what you are eating, it is important to increase activity levels as it has many benefits besides keeping you in shape. So focus on increasing activity by spending less time in front of TV, computer and walk around, do cycling or any other outdoor activity that you can.

Eat healthier foods which are rich in fibre and low in calories like fresh fruits and vegetables like leafy greens such as spinach, fenugreek etc, raw salads, whole grain cereals like broken wheat porrdige, oats, oat bran, chapati, brown rice, low fat milk/curd and cheese (paneer) as a part of daily diet etc. Eat less of oily, fatty and fried foods, junk foods like burgers, pizzas and noodles.

Have small meals and avoid unnecessary snacking or munching in between meals.

Hope this answers your query satisfactorily.
