Can Vocal Chord Altering Surgery Cause Inflammation In Larynx?

Howdy, my sister is currently in her first week at a jazz program for vocals. Rather anti-climactically, in her first week, she's expierienced an inflamation in the cartilidge surrounding her larynx- doesn't seem to signify a polyp. Was wondering what this could be, and if she might possibly after undergo vocal-chord altering surgery.

Hello and welcome to health care magic,

Your sister needs to undergo videolaryngoscopy of the vocal cords and then get back to me or any ENT with the reports which will give us the proper idea on the state of the vocal cords

By your description it seems to be nodules which may or maynot require surgery depending on the size but in any case get the endoscopy done

regards
