Can Vomiting And Dizziness Be Caused By Alcohol Based Ear-drops?

My son had water in his ear after swimming. I gave him ear drops for water removal. The drops were basically alcohol. He immediately experienced extreme burning in his ear. His tongue went numb shortly after, and then he started getting dizzie and throwing up. What would the cause of this be and what should we do?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Any ear drops can aggravate nausea or vomiting if there is some tympanic membrane perforation.

You should get yourself examined by an ENT specialist and avoid any medicines without prescription.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Priyanka Aggarwal
