HI, My name is Bryan, I am 35 5 7 and 212 lbs I just started taking vyvanse about 4 days ago, I started by puting a 60 mg pill into 1 cup of water and drinking half so I could get 30 mgs. I did that for 2 days and it helped with my ADD somewhat, . starting Yesterday I took 60 mg.. did fine all day, I had a good energy level all day with no side effects, today I took anothe 60 mg pill but now am having some numbness in my right arm and hand. is this normal, and should I back the mg back to 40 or so.. I have a call into my doctor with the same question but need to know. thank you Bryan

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Are you changing the dosage of this medicine as per your doctor's advice? If not then do not alter the dosage without consulting your doctor. Numbness in hands is often associated with this medicine. My advice to you is, contact your doctor again and explain the change in dosage that you have done. Depending on that he will guide you further with appropriate management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Manisha Auradkar, General & Family Physician
